In Influx, I invite viewers into the exhilarating overload of contemporary life. Working in acrylic on a 16 x 12 inch canvas, I fracture three faces into a dynamic mosaic of geometric shards—triangles, polygons, and radiant bursts—while bold black contours and an electrifying palette of hot pinks, electric blues, limes, and cadmium reds pulse with energy. The tightly packed composition, with its horror vacui and interlocking forms, creates a visual rhythm that mirrors the constant sensory bombardment we all experience. Eyes meet the viewer directly, lips speak in vivid red, and fragmented features bleed across identities, celebrating both precision and joyful disorder.

Philosophically, the painting embodies the porous nature of the self in the digital age. Just as Cubism once shattered Renaissance certainty, Influx reflects how identity is no longer singular or stable but an ever-shifting intersection of influences, cultures, and stimuli. The geometric order I impose on this chaos suggests that meaning and beauty emerge precisely from our attempt to integrate the flood.
